I think you probably mean Category not Topic (topic is just the "subject" of a thread, which is not required). We currently allow topics that have no category, but it is really not encouraged - these eventually have to be sorted into a category by one of the moderators, which take work. Ive considered completely disabling category-less topics, but I think a "soft" approach to this has been fine so far - I spend maybe 30 minutes a month fixing things with incorrect/missing categories, not really fun but not a big deal.

I see on the forum that there are some threads that have no topic at
all, eg https://scsynth.org/t/fake-resonance-aka-windowed-sync/2720/2
Is it possible to send without a topic via email and to which address
would one send?
