[sc-users] analysing (arbitrary) sound streams for resynthesis

Hello list,

I am currently interested in analysis of (arbitrary) sound material to basically get a stream of descriptive data by which I could (approximately, theoretically) re-synthesize the source material.

I found so far

+ ATS (SuperCollider implementation by Josh Parmenter)
unfortunately, the sourceforge (!) repository seems to be outdated (last update is from 2013) and I am not able to compile the analysis section for OSX
+ Metamorph by John Glover (https://github.com/johnglover/metamorph)
seems to be unmaintained since at least 6 years, as bindings for CSound (...) and python.

any hint to any (more recent) techniques / implementations would be much appreciated

cheers
	Till
