[sc-users] How to fix pulsating distortion

Hello SC users,

I'm trying to get SuperCollider running on my desktop computer, but get a kind of pulsating and very crackly distortion when playing sound. (i.e. just {SinOsc.ar}.play;)

Recording the output with s.record and playing that file back with an exterior program has no issues: the result is a pure, un-distorted sine wave.

Here's what the server info looks like:

Booting with:
  In: MME : Digital-In (Sound Blaster Z)
Out: MME : Headphones (High Definition Aud
  Sample rate: 44100.000
  Latency (in/out): 0.013 / 0.091 sec
SC_AudioDriver: sample rate = 44100.000000, driver's block size = 64
SuperCollider 3 server ready.
Receiving notification messages from server localhost
Shared memory server interface initialized

My OS is Windows 10 x64 bit.

I've tried a handful of things, all with the same result. Some guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan Wasner
