You might want to test against another encoder. Matthias Kronlachner has done a great job with his ambiX suite, and also includes a format converter that you can test against. Also, you can go straight to the horse's mouth (Furse's free plug-in set) to see if FMHEncode is giving legit maxN-FuMa.
