absolutely!  ;)

It's the code generated by 4.9 which has a problem … so it has to be replaced with the code 
generated by 4.8.
That is independent of an operating system, BTW, could happen anywhere.

PS: out of curiosity: could you PLS replace in line 10. of Charles' guide

	make # this takes hours

with 

	time make  # this also shows the time it really takes

and post the result?

then there should be three lines like 

real	0m6.705s
user	0m4.001s
sys	0m1.002s

but with much larger numbers corresponding to the hours it takes to compile SC.
I'd like to know how long it takes on the R-Pi zero. Thanks!
