Re: [sc-users] Supernova on osx

Hello again,

Here is the link to the github issue about supernova not finding plugins.

Also, I could not replicate failures I had previously... when I copy plugins to SuperCollider.app/Contents/Resources/plugins they work fine (tested Josh grain ugens and pitch detection).

I have 2 more issues/questions regarding supernova on os x:

1. when I compile SC3-plugins, the make install command does not copy supernova versions of plugins to the SC3plugins folder (I reported the issue on github). Any ideas why?

2. I get audio input working only when I set up an aggregate device. If I don't, supernova still boots and reports using both input and output, but the input has no signal (using the internal soundcard). I vaguely remember from a while back some correlation between using portaudio and the need to use aggregate device for full duplex sound, is that still the case?

Cheers,
Marcin

Thanks for responding, Michael.

I didn't test scaling with supernova, just simple sound generation (SinOsc). That worked fine, will try to do more tests at some point.
I'll try opening an issue soon, though I also have a project coming up. I'll post a link as well.

More later,
Marcin

Hi, I experienced and posted this a while ago.
Also talked to Tim, but he was deep in some other project back then, so I didn't open an issue,
hoped to find it myself – alas, no.
Feel free to open an issue on github. If I find something else/new I can comment on it.
PLS post a link to this issue.
Thanks, Michael.

(BTW, running vanilla SC w/o plugins runs smoothly on your system? At some point I wasn't sure if it scales anyway)
