this has been discussed before, osx-related issue ... follow the steps
in README_OSX and iirc josh/andrea posted instructions to work around
this issue on the sc-dev list ... sry for the inconvenience, but we have
a huge lack of osx devs

pushed means: it is included in the master branch now.
