Hiyya.  Here's another quasi-DIY alternative...


Here's a build based on v3.5 that is ready to roll:

See details there for duplicating the build from scratach.  My snapshot
of the code lives at https://github.com/tintinnabuli .  Look for the
tag "tintin--v3.5.5-ios".

This build is old, but it works.  I'll create a new one and new tags... RSN.  
Keep us posted if you create a newer one sooner!
