:)

Here's my story:
Back when I was in high school, I used to take computer science
classes at night at the local junior college, so when I went to
college for real, I finished all the computer science requirements by
the end of my second year, but still needed a lot more credits to
graduate, so I did music also. During the years I subsequently worked
as a programmer I didn't do much computer music, because the last
thing I wanted to do after staring at a computer for 8 hours in a
cubicle was to spend more hours staring at a computer. After the dot
com bust, I did a bit of MAX, but at the time, it had no data
structures and thus was very frustrating.

Then I went to Wesleyan and took a SC class with Ron Kuivila, back in
the very early days of SC3. It's now my primary composition tool,
although I still use analog synthesis too.

Did the course at Sonology and then went to Birmingham, where there
are a lot of SC programmers, which was a motivating factor.

cheers,
Les
