ok, replying to myself..
I just checked with latest revision and I do have MIDI support with it
(but no SwingOSC):
Check for alsa... (cached) yes
...
MIDIAPI: ALSA
so, is there a way I could compile the older revision so (I could use
SwingOSC) but with the alsa/midi functionality of the latest ?
dunno if that makes sense though...
cheers,
_y

hello
sorry to dig up this old thread but I lost MIDI support on Linux:

MIDIAPI: None
I have libasound2-dev installed.
I tried with --no-cache, I tried scons -c scrub, I erased scache.conf,
nothing helped...
I'm running latest pure:dyne dev version (ubuntu-9.10) with sc -r 9590
(had to revert to have SwingOSC working again (see Sciss recent post
about that)).
everything is working fine except MIDI.
any help is greatly appreciated
cheers,
_y
