have been some changes in the gui-primitives my os doesn't understand ...

can this still be tweeked for os 10.4? i guess there haven't been really
essential changes for powerpc, so i could well go back a few revisions.
anyway, looks like it's gonna get more and more difficult to provide
backwards-compliance ...
