dan and axel are trying to get isc onto cydia. if that works you can install it from there and this would be the best solution. follow their progress on recent sc-dev list thread.
else i'd be happy to install it for you next time we meet in berlin. as a developer one may install an app on up to 100 devices without going via app store.
or find someone else with an iphone dev account and borrow his/her machine for an hour.
a fourth option (and i'm not sure here) is to get hold of a binary from someone and try to install it yourself via scp/ssh. and then 'fake' sign it. the net should know more. 

so again, best if you can wait for the cydia thing to get going.

i would like to run sc on my jailbroken ipod.
i don't have a developer id though, and i don't want do spend $99.
is it possible to build without a developer id?
if not, would it be possible for a developer to upload a built iphone-sc to rapidshare or sth? 
so one can get it on the ipod via scp...

00. download and install sdk 3.1.2 from http:// developer.apple.com (dev account needed, 2.73gb!) 
01. register as an iphone developer ($99/year, ugh!)
or jailbreak it for 0€ per year !!! It’s our damn phone, we should be able to do with it whatever we want. Btw, what are you using for jailbreaking, I need to jailbreak my iphone.
