I think it doesn't matter, all it will do is introduce a fixed delay, 
that is, shift your impulse response to the left or right, but that's 
okay. What you get in the end is some seconds of floor noise  followed 
by your impulse response followed by more floor noise. then you just 
need to crop the impulse response.
