I was combining (colliding) the MAX language object I wrote, Pyrite,
and a synth program I wrote, called Synth-O-Matic. I thought that it
probably would be a failed experiment to combine a high level garbage
collected language with a real time synth engine, so I named it after
another failed Texas "Big Science" project of the day.

Hi all
This morning I wake up with a name question then I forgot but now I
remembered.
Why the name of SuperCollider is SuperCollider?
I could have been called Pyrite or miceCollider or JMCollider...
no, really, i would like to know the history.
Saludos
