O'key, soory, i found Formant Ugen already, it was simple:) but still, if
there ase some nice techniques, i would appreciate...
Thanx

Hello!
I want to try to synthesize something which will sound like overtone
singing. I'm pretty new to SC, and don't know much about sound theory, so
may be some of you kind people can suggest me what kind of synthesis
techniques i need to use to reproduce human voice singing and manipulating
formants of voice?
Here is definition from Wikipedia:
Overtone singing, also known as throat singing, overtone chanting, or
harmonic singing, is a type of singing in which the singer manipulates the
resonances (or formants) created as air travels from the lungs, past the
vocal folds, and out the lips to produce a melody.
Of course it would be nice to make some kind of physical emulation of
mouth cave and change it dynamically, but i think i would be happy even
with something which will just sounds like throat singing, and will have
enough parameters to change in real time to make it sounds enough
natural...:)
Here some interesting paper from Japanese researchers:

Is there any formant u-gens in SC? What kind of filters you suggest?
I will try to research net for theory and update this topic, hope it can
be interesting for others as well...
Thank you!
