[sc-users] Re: Help me map a control rate signal with a buffer

Hi Nathaniel! Thank you so much for taking the time, I really appreciate your helpful suggestion.

There would be between 12 and about 100 data points involved. They can be specified on the language side, within a SynthDef, or both.

Would you be so kind as to explain how to use an Env to do control rate mapping? Currently I know only how to use an Env with EnvGen to create a time-based envelope, and I would need to know how to use Env with a control-rate index.

Thanks for the pointer, in any case!

Hi Carlo

Depending on how many data points you have you might consider using an Env for this, especially if the data points are on the language side to start with.

Hi! Thanks for reading. I'm looking for some help... I need to
re-shape a control rate signal with a mapping function defined by a
series of float (X|Y) values and linear interpolation in-between.
Using a buffer seems to be the most elegant way to do this, could
you kindly point me to Ugens that might do this? IndexInBetween
seemed promising but then the X-Values have to be integers. Thanks!

    Carlo
