[sc-users] live performance interface
I'm thinking of trying to make a GUI interface for live playing which
would allow me to mix sounds from different synths live and alter the
parameters using GUI sliders (or maybe eventually a control surface if I
get round to making one), with a friend of mine who's a better keyboard
player than I am playing the synths using a midi keyboard.
What I want is:
- to be able to load up synths into one of two slots.
- each synth slot has a panel associated with it which shows all the
sliders to control that synth.
- the ability to crossfade between the slots using a different types of
crossfade (e.g. ordinary mixing or spectral morphing).
- the ability to add effects either to individual synths or to the
output of the crossfader.
My question is firstly whether something like this already exists,
either complete or as a basis that I could build on. I'm trying to get
to grips with dewdrop at the moment to see if it would do, but not sure
yet if it will do what I want.
Secondly, if not, has anyone got any advice on how to go about doing this?
