[sc-users] Newb question - creating subclass for audio signals

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a subclass to handle filtering of audio signals. I want
to be able to write code along these lines:

SynthDef( "Filtering", {
    var signal1, signal2;

    signal1 = MySignalClass.new;    signal2 = MySignalClass.new;
    signal1 = PlayBuf.ar( 2, bufNum );
    signal2 = PinkNoise.ar(1.0);

    signal1.applyFiltering();
    signal2.applyOtherFiltering();
} );

I'm just not sure what the superclass should be, so it can handle audio from
any source. If someone could just point me in the right direction, I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for any help!!
