Could someone explain why its only 8bits?

default argument numDigits is set to 8. just set it to 16

4.asBinaryDigits(16)      //gives 16bit

[ 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0 ]

Any hints?
