Re: [sc-users] [panther]no such file or directory, sclang @ emacs

thank YOU blackrain for keeping gcc3-ppl alive

i used to read japanese emails on carbon-emacs
but after having to re-install the osx
made up my mind to use pre-installed things as much as possible
and wondered if emacs@terminal could work for sclang
it seems like emacs itself launched
cuz i had to c-x c-c to return to the command-line

oh and when i just did ./sclang
it told me that it couldn't do something with emacs
but launched anyway
am a vi user
so if i could ignore that emacs related message
would go to that direction
am i stupid?

and yes
if carbon-emacs only helps
will be greedy wanting to download it too
carbon version also works in the terminal...right?
then i can still do sc thangs over there

maybe people would tell me to
learn how to compile it by myself
if insisting to be vi oriented?

glad you got a new (and updated) sc build for your machine.

the error you are getting when trying the emacs version, is telling
you that your machine does not have emacs installed.

I have an emacs 21.3.50.1 its really kewl. carbon and all.
that should work for the problem you are describing now.
however the uncompressed footprint for the app in HD is 102 MB.
I dont know how big it would end up being in a compressed disk image.
the package used to be online (at a site that offers emacs builds for
carbon. dont remember it from the top of my head would have to look)
but was taken off eventually for being too old so I think our only bet
is to get this one posted to the RealizedSound sf site as well.
might do this soon if there is interest in it.
let me know.
