You can model it after PeakMonitor in my class library (website,
below). PeakMonitor automatically opens a gui that updates every x
times per second so you can watch -- multichannel too.
If you change the definition of the sys-peakmon synthdefs to use
RunningSum.rms instead of Peak, you can get the rms in the gui
instead.
