i guess it wants to know that your SuperCollider3 directory is its root
cvs update -dP
works .... at least something happens, it doesn't actually update  
anything... my files from 6 weeks ago are unchanged...? i guess a new  
checkout has to happen..
-P is for pruning old stuff.
