Re: [sc-users] sclang in >console

Hmm... I wonder why this isn't working for me. Scel works fine in a terminal under Aqua. But in console I get this:

compile done
INIT_Processeses(), could not  establish the default connection to the WindowServer.Emacs: Initializing lisp interface.
Class tree inited in 0.09 seconds
booting internal
Using vector unit: yes

***SCLang abort trap***

Anybody got a clue? Is there a crude hack I can do to the scel externals? Or is the problem somewhere else all together?
And what does MacUGens do, actually?

SC source is from CVS a couple of days ago.
GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (powerpc-apple-darwin7.9) of 2006-05-05
OS 10.3.9

Hardware is an older 400 Mhz G4, that's why I thought I could squeeze a bit of extra SC juice out of it by bypassing Aqua. Ok, to be honest that's not the real motivation, I just find the console interface appealing. ;-)

PS

I just realized something that makes me feel a bit silly: It's called CVS for a reason, I suppose. But I don't even know how to look up what *Version* is the *Current* one on my hard drive! So "from a couple of days ago" will have to do.... Uhm...

to those intereted - running sclang and emacs -sclang in >console mode
is possible! just delete the MacUGens.scx from the associated plugin direcory -
and you can enjoy the black-screen no-gui terminal feeling without finder
but with fully functioning sclang and scsynth!

next stop is EmacsGui! (oh wait, where's the mouse...)
whoopy!
