Re: [sc-users] automated buffer -- How's that get in there?!?
Hi James,
wow. This makes what I was concieving seem a bit silly. If I had known
this project would be this crazy...
...I still would have done it... but with trepidation!
As for your first question about keeping the audio in buffers or streaming
from disk, I was planning on having them in buffers, but it seems that might
be a memory drain... obviously working from disk has more of a latency
issue, but in this case, that doesn't really matter. Are there any pros or
cons to either side apart from these issues? (obviously, the code would have
to change)
At this point, I haven't even parsed through the code, so, yikes! Before I
do so, however, could you suggest some things to read on the syntax of what
you're doing here? I'll check out the NodeWatcher if there's a help file,
etc. However, the stuff such as 'tryPerform'? Crazy. Should I have
learned these methods (.wchoose...)somewhere in my prior reading?
Study, study, study....
......-SP......
P.S. Thanks again!...
....study....study.....
