Re: [sc-users] Re: OSC trouble with proce55ing and SC Server

It doesn't have to do with ports. I let proce55ing listen on port

Also, port 57120 is probably not a good port to use, as I think sclang
binds this port? (scsynth binds 57110). There is no need to steal
well known ports :)

Oh , I just did that as an experiment, under the suspicion that SC- Server might only be sending responses to a certain port. I can send sucessful messages from processor to the server from any port. I just don't get a reponse.

I can see from the ideas I have gotten, epecially from you, oswald , and felix, that there is some deeper problem here, and I suspect it is with the OSC library in Proce55or. What I really need to find out is which it is: Is SC server refusing to send a reponse to processor, or is processor not getting it for some reason. And yes, it could indeed be that I don't know from which port processor is sending. i only know its receiving port.  That could be it, perhaps it's being sent to a sending port, about which I don't know.

But it's past midnight now, and I'm stopping till tomorrow.

Thanks to all for the ideas with this hard nut to crack.
