Re: [sc-users] Happy 2006!

that's definitely no just you. it's like you have to change your relationship with the thing. it's so hard to stop coding and start composing. a bit like having a split personality...

Just wanted to share something I've been toying with, kind of a welcome to 2006 present perhaps. A short teaser, a sketch of a housey number I've been working on as an antidote for the winter blues. Every so often I get tired of making serious music and I just gotta have da funk.

everyone likes bit of house don't they? oh, I can't wait for this years trip to ibiza! ;-)

That's my experience ... it really does work! But you have to be patient about it too--my first couple of interface designs were failures :-} ... for me it was part of the process of discovering what my requirements were.

it's funny - I sit in my chair coding away for weeks sometimes and then once I've got the thing up and running and tested it 300 thousand times I have to almost forget everything I know about the thing before I can get any real use from it. maybe that's just me. I suppose it depends on what kind of thing you're making.

looking forward to your code james.

kernel.
