as I said - that is what I do. does that mean I'm a 'real

sorry, i didn't mean to sound like i was teasing you.
but you say :
I always keep arrays of GUI objects it's the only way.
as though you were keeping your sequence/musical data in the gui
objects.
and it seems that you are trying to archive windows/views for some
reason.
oh yeah, whoops - a bit quick on the trigger again. of course, I keep
arrays of values from GUI objects.
I was mainly interested in why the archive didn't work!
the only other time I have terminal SC crashes is when using PlayBuf
with an XLine controlling playback rate.
if the XLine gets passed zero as one of it's start/end args then
sometimes I get the same spinning wheel crash.
I know XLine really doesn't want zero's but a full on crash seems a bit
harsh.
i was just trying to strongly encourage you to follow established
coding practices.
I'm not sure I believe this 'real programmer' business - that's like
calling yourself a 'real musician' or a 'real painter' or a 'real
artist'.
I had a 'real plumber' turn up once - he flooded the both bathrooms
and the study in a matter of minutes.
right. well that proves it then ;)
well, maybe I was having a bit of fun with that one!
