in general you can execute unix commands directly from sc language like this:
"ls /usr/local/bin".unixCmd
but it may not be as simple as sending OSC bundles to an app that can receive them.
look at NetAddr, Client and OSCresponder for info.

otherwise google "open sound control" for info about supporting programs

I searched the SC users archives, and there were still optimistic mentions of  phosphor last year. I also saw soemthing  called scream, but haven't tried it yet.

would it be possible to pipe unix commands from SClang to some kind of opengl display program? Or is this simply the wrong approach, and we need to wait for more to develop on the graphics end?
