-Co-incidentally I was thinking about getting a secondhand motu 828
 and searched the sc-lists, discovering that this mentioned high cpu-load
 was also a matter of having the appropriate drivers (this is under OS9 BTW).
I was also planning to use it on a MacMini, so it's quite interesting to
know whether this has changed under OS X.
