Re: [sc-users] Overwriting names of classes/ugens

personally, i think it would be better if those programming external classes preceeded their class names with something identifying themselves.
i.e. my personal classes are all named CMS_ and then the description.

CMS_SoundPatch_Buffer1.sc
CMS_BufferManager.sc
CMS_Seq_Midi1.sc

then this situation could never arise (unless 2 programmers were absolutely determined to use the same i.d. name, not very likely)

rename your Pitch TH_Pitch

??????????????

I like the Pitch ugen, but want to change its name on my system to PitchFollower (matching "PeakFollower"), as I have some other stuff called Pitch.

I can easily change the existing Pitch name in the Trig.sc file, but need to do more than this, as the error "exception in GraphDef_Recv: UGen 'PitchFollow' not installed" makes clear.

What do I need to do, change source code? Is this a BAD THING to do? Might I be making a lot of trouble for myself this way?
