Re: [sc-users] optimalisation question

Does it need to play in real-time? Could it be done with NRT?

Josh

P.S. my SC mail just started to show up again.

I've made a SC3 piece with 35 FM synths playing streams. This works OK, except there are a couple of points in the score where things get tricky. Lots of notes coincide, making the CPU crap out. Any tips on server optimalisation? I don't need any interaction whiule the piece plays, so real-time latency isn't an issue. Can I offload some stuff to a second server running oon the second processor of my G5? How do I do this?

Thanks in advance for any tips/suggestions.

Cheers,

Zip

P.S. I haven't had a SC digest for 2 days?
