syntax is pretty well documented under the Language column in the help files (Literals, Method-Calls, ... Syntax-Shortcuts, etc.).
what is missing?
I still think that a solid, separate API, detailing only classes, their super-classes, as well as their (inherited) methods would be, for me at least, useful. I am learning programming strategies/OO concepts whatever at school at the moment, so thats not so much a big deal.
But I am consistently seeing classes receiving messages etc. which I need to search and search for (that is through the current cmd-shift-h system). I see now that the cmd-u 'wiki' style of help is there, but I'm thinking more along the lines of a pure html searchable (linked) reference API, (such as Suns API), which details only classes, their methods, the method return types etc.
Did I see this pop up a while ago?
Nevertheless, I have started to start this (starting from the top, Object). This is all coded by hand in html, so its probably going to take me 12 years to get through it all.......(any neat gadgets to aid in my quest?).
But, after seeing the current reference docs on classes etc., I see that the docs which come with sc are fantastically adequate after all (for the most part) (except for the GUI, which, may I draw your attention to SCRangeSlider class, whats up with that?).
But I can understand that people are going to be making their own classes etc. which don't need to be in the distribution.
This is all just to aid my own understanding.
(p.s. And seeing class files, that is a great help).
peace,
stu.
