does not work for me..

oops sorry, does work. i had changed .emacs file to go to my local

xSC is for XCode in Panther

SC is for Project Builder in Jaguar

I have obtained use of a room thanks to NYU for next
Thursday 6th 1-3pm with projector and sound system

(at 24 Waverley Place, NYU campus)

Would there be interest in doing some presentations
there next week at this time? (sorry about late
notice, took some negotiation) It´s´daytime again so
perhaps trouble for some. If people are available
please say, either on list offlist or if we see you
about-

I'll confirm if there is some interest.
Cheers

I want to try to port the Cook/Scavone STK physical
models to SC3. As a first step I just want to use
their C++ classes. But the basic Plugin functions are
in C. Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to call
C++ functions etc from within C.
thanks

The plugin functions are exported as extern "C" functions for linking
purposes, but the plugins are really C++, albeit with a minimal usage
of C++ features.
Your unit generator struct inherits from the Unit struct for example.

Hi
Here is an (unoptimized) version of Perry Cook's Slide flute.

I'd like to see the banded wave guide bar model. I was intrigued with

This looks dangerous: Allocating always 600 but indexing based on the
frequency.

        unit->delay1Length = (uint32)( SAMPLERATE/IN0(0));
        unit->delay1 = (float*)RTAlloc(unit->mWorld, 600 *
sizeof(float));

And as always calls to bzero are not real time friendly. Keeping track
of wrapping and outputting zero if not wrapped is the recommended
method to handle uninitialized delay lines.

	bzero(unit->delay1, unit->delay1Length * sizeof(float));
	bzero(unit->delay2, EMBLEN * sizeof(float));

Thanks James, I understood that. I'm just a little confused on how to
instantiate and call C++ classes in this context.
I'll grep around.

yes, I realize as much (about bzero and allocating 600 loc delay
lines). As I said this is an unoptimized (and crude version)
and I just wanted to share it with the group. It makes some
neat sounds. After I break it in for a bit I'll optimize and
put in safeguards etc.

You should just be able to use C++ as normal. The ugen implementations
are C++.

Two questions:

1. How do I break out of an "inf.do" loop? I am running one inside a
Routine, and I want a way to end the Routine at a given clock time.

2. When playing patterns with Pbind, is it possible to specify a target
and addAction for the synths that are spawned?

Thanks!

Mike
