Re: [sc-dev] Towards SC 4

- retain Qt and the IDE

I don't know what this means nowadays... really. Except for the mac-os-centric people the ide is the best thing that ever happened to sc since sc. I do not mean to provoke people (only) but to make them realize that SC did not work nicely either in linux nor windows. However it is critical to implement the Document interface related to editors and very specially to files.

(I think Josh was saying that we need to keep Qt and IDE alive, wasn't he?)
I too think the IDE is pretty cool.
But:

- literate programming is stil a relevant aspect fo usage and history of SC

I will add to the list:
- Unicode/UTF support
- Sample level control on synthesis with a lang-like interface. E.g.

if (sample == 0.2) { do something}

for non-standard, e.g. geometric synthesis technique

- Improve the class library clarity and documentation (private vs public eternally).

I think a private class interface is a great idea.

- closed namespaces for classes and the capability of including classes on a project basis
