Ah, Julian, I thought you might know something about gremlins ;-)
indeed! I used to earn my livin as a ghostbuster, but now (full of I've remorse) blocked this key in my life. 


The position of the gremlins does not indicate that's that they appeared
in combinatin win curly brackets. They seem to have appeared after the
first SVN commit of the files. I'm going to have ot track down in which
revision they appearec. perhaps that will give me a clue.

 I just noticed that the GUI help files have acquired invisible gremlins.
 You don't see them in the help viewer, but they appear you execute code
 in an  SCStaticTextBase subclass or also the new drag labels:

 Try the example in SCDragView, they appeat as a little hook and cross
 characters in the static text and in the drag labels.

 If I do zap gremlins in BBedit, they disappear.

 They go pretty far back in svn, but were not there when I first
 committed the new help files.


 Does anyone know where the gremlins come from?
