Ah, Julian, I thought you might know something about gremlins ;-)
The position of the gremlins does not indicate that's that they appeared
in combinatin win curly brackets. They seem to have appeared after the
first SVN commit of the files. I'm going to have ot track down in which
revision they appearec. perhaps that will give me a clue.
