Latex is as close to plain text as can be.
You can read the diff, even without any latex editor.
My problem is still with HTML that the HTML produced by SCapp's
implementation is horrible, horrible to edit on anything else but
SCapp.
If people on OSX will use a decent HTML editor, which actually uses
the Markup features of it, then I'll agree.
The only other alternative (as in universal format) I see is to go to
completely plain text.
