I did that I think, as scd was created at the request of scel users.

If you're going to change it I think we should have:

SC Rich Text Document (rtf)
SC Rich Text (with attachments) Document (rtfd)
SC Plain Text Document (scd)

or something similar, since all these are officially encouraged formats.

The plain text option should probably just be removed, as should  
Apple SimpleText I imagine.
