Apologies if this has already been received, but from what I can see my message on this got lost. Regarding volume sliders and 0dB, etc.: I guess this has been resolved, but as a belated 2 cents: In the BEAST software we've simply said that 0 dBFS is as loud as you need to go. It's a sensible approach in a digital system, as it eliminates the possibility of clipping with simple cases like playing a soundfile or example (I'm anticipating questions about clipping on sc-users with the current system), and is almost always adequate unless your amplification is turned way down. Then there's no need to learn a shortcut, just put the slider over to the right. S. |
