Re: [Sc-devel] adding UGens / classes
Hi Josh,
Well, Nick started the ball rolling adding Loudness and BeatTrack.
Since then he and I have had conversations about what machine
listening should be in core; I've added my onset detector to core, and
there is likely to be a bit more added. Nick has a strong motive to
get this sorted since it ties in with his book chapter :) but as far
as I know he and I are the only people who've expressed particular
opinions about particular ML stuff that should be in or out. Please
shout if you have any thoughts on this area, otherwise Nick and I will
carry on with a mixture of onlist and offlist...
Apart from the machine listening stuff, I think I'm right in saying
that I've heard at least one or two people agree that MoogFF and Pluck
should be in core, since they're both very nice synthesis components
as well as being basic and widely useful. If no-one gets there first,
I intend to add these before the year is out. Sounds OK to you?
I must admit I don't use Warp stuff so I can't make an intelligent
comment about whether or not it should be in core but I certainly have
no objections, so I'll just defer to others' opinions on that. Would
they definitely take priority over (e.g.) your new PV read/write
buffer UGens?
