[sc-dev] svn problem(s)

hello, having problems attempting a fresh checkout from svn.  i get 
this:

the second bit looks similar to a message till posted a while ago 
http://tinyurl.com/y2pyzp.  can i just forget the certificate bit?  i 
compiled svn from source if that has any bearing on things.
