Re: [sc-dev] idle scsynth CPU usage

This is using all the internal defaults...

How do I change the driver? And where would I see if it is KeyLargo?

I ran Shark, and the difference came in the scsynth process, under the thread CAPThread. On the old machine, this was running at about 1%, on the new one, about 8%

Most of this seems to be involving the com.apple.driver.AppleDBDMAAudio and the com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily libraries.

i'm curious, is there an idle process difference also when using a different coreaudio driver? or is it only the Apple built-in? (is that still KeyLargo on these machines?)
