this bug doesn't have to do with primitives.
i know i meant to change the subject title after i hit reply, sorry about that.
SC3d5 had primitive plugins. Since the whole program is open source now, I don't see as big a need for them. The SC3d5 scheme used C++ linkage and SC just exported almost all of its symbols which is not a very good way to do things. To make primitive plugins with a C linkage would require defining a plug-in API and it would have to be a very large one to provide all the hooks into the virtual machine, GC, windowing, etc.
