you have to get libsndfile (this is NOT the same as sndlib)
and build it on your own. it's very straightforward :
1) get the archive
2) untar
3) configure
4) make
5) make install
detailed instructions are given on the swiki page.

Objet : [sc-dev] Where is sndfile.h?
I am trying to build SC3, and I get some compilation errors due to the fact that sndfile.h is missing in the CVS repository. Sure enough, it's nowhere to be seen, although it is included in /headers/plugin_interface/SC_SndBuf.h
What's wrong...? The CVS comment for SC_SndBuf.h is something like "scope works, not finished yet"...
