....etc etc..   this is with december dev tools.

that actually wasn't why i was writing, i was just going to build a new version to see what the server port name/ address setup was. i am a little confused about the syntax of specifying port number on the server, it looks like the arg for address will only take ip address. i can't figure how to give it a new port number...
