On OS X? InputSprockets don't exist on OS X. But then I'm not up on 
max. Perhaps it has been rewritten using the HID mgr.

In any case, this is a job that could be done by a separate program. 
Start it up and it begins transmitting control data from a device to 
the server. This way such support needn't be built in to the language.
