once the server is started, i don't expect to see a red light.

Just to beat on this a bit more:
A red light on a tape deck means record is on.
at a radio station it means on the air.
in a studio it means the session is live.

but only in opposition to being off.
when juxtaposed with green, i think traffic lights.
and i honestly kept doing the wrong action before.

Doesn't the HIG say button titles should reflect the action to be done when you click?

in any case i will easily agree to go back to the previous: titles reflect the action that will happen.

and that button should have no color.
then a separate server status indicator:
dark: off
warm yellow: booting
warm red: on

like a lightbulb.

Thus I do expect to see red when the server is running.
